Candy Cane Elf Hat

Skill Level

• Intermediate

Materials

• 10 or 12 ply Yarn in Red, White and Green

• 5.5mm and 5mm Crochet Hook (Teen/Small Adult Size), 6mm and 5.5mm (Medium Adult Size), (Use same Hooks for Large size plus 1 to 2 extra increase and white rounds)    

• Stitch markers

• Scissors

• Tapestry needle

• White Pom                                   

Hat Base

42. Ribbed Brim

Change to 5 mm hook. (C3 Yarn should still be attached to end of round 41)

Row 1   

ch 9, sc in second ch from hook, sc in remaining ch, (8sc) sl st into sc from round 41, sl st again to start next row, turn.

Row 2   

sc in back loops to end, (8sc) turn, ch 1.

Row 3   

sc in back loops to end, sl into sc from round 41, sl again to start next row. Turn

Continue row 2 and 3 to end.

Sew seam together to join, tie off and weave in ends. Attach Pom and you’re done.
