Lotus Doily
The Lotus Doily will make a perfect cup coaster.
This Doily may be made with any hook size and yarn, however, it does look best and fits a cup using the recommended hook and yarn size in the pattern.
I hope you enjoy makeing the Lotus Doily as much as I do. They become addictive to make.

Preliminary Step 1.5mm Hook
Ch 6, sl into first ch to make a ring.
Round 1
ch 1, 12 sc in ring, sl into sc.
Round 2
ch 2, 2 dc in each st around, sl into dc.
Round 3
ch 1, sc in same st, ch 5, sk 1, *sc, ch 5, sk 1* rep 11 times, sl into sc.
Round 4
2 sl in ch, *sc in ch 5 sp, ch 4* rep 12 times, sl into sc.
Round 5
sl into ch 4 sp, ch 3 (counts as dc), 4 dc in ch 4 sp, * 5 dc in next ch 4 sp* rep 11 times, sl into ch 3.
Round 6
ch 1, sc back into the sp between ch 3 and last dc from round 5, ch 3, sk ch 3, sk 1, sc in next st, *ch 3, sk 2, sc in sp between 2 dc, ch 3, sk 2 dc, sc in next st* rep 11 times, ch 3, sl into sc.
Round 7
sl in ch, sc in ch 3 sp, ch 4, *sc in next ch 3 sp, ch 4* rep 23 times, sl into sc.
Round 8
sl into ch 4 sp, ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc in same ch 4 sp, ch 1, *3 dc in ch 4 sp, ch 1* rep 23 times, sl into ch 3.
Round 9
ch 1, sc back into ch 1 sp, sk ch 3, (hdc, dc, hdc) in next st, sk 1, *sc in ch 1 sp, sk 1, (hdc, dc, hdc) in next st, sk 1* rep 23 times, sl into first sc.
Round 10
sl in 2 sts, ch 1, sc on top of dc, ch 5, *sc in next dc, ch 5* rep 23 times, sl into first sc.
Round 11
2 sl in ch, *sc in ch 5 sp, (5 dc, ch 2, 5 dc) in next ch 5 sp* rep 12 times, sl into first sc.
Fasten off, weave in ends, and you’re done.
